No data collected
A Book of Colors does not collect, sell, or share any personal data or usage information. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no accounts. The developer runs no servers of its own and has no access to your data. Your library can sync through your own iCloud account — see iCloud Sync below.
Your app data
Your saved, generated, and photo-based palettes, the colors you've liked, and your preferences are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, they are also kept in sync across your devices through your personal iCloud account. This data is private to you — the developer cannot see or access it.
iCloud Sync
A Book of Colors uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to keep your palettes, your liked colors, and the source photos for any camera palettes in sync across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This information is stored in your own private iCloud database, handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. It is never shared with the developer or any third party, and is used only to sync your own library between your devices. You can turn it off at any time by disabling iCloud for A Book of Colors in your device settings, or by signing out of iCloud — your data then stays on each device.
Photos
If you use the camera or photo library to generate a palette, the image is processed entirely on your device to extract its colors. If you save that palette, its source photo is stored with it and syncs through your private iCloud as described above. Photos are never sent to the developer or any third party.
Third parties
A Book of Colors does not integrate any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, analytics services, or crash reporting tools.
Children
Because no data is collected from anyone, A Book of Colors is safe for users of all ages.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Any future data practices will require your explicit consent before taking effect.
